With many years of expertise in the field of art education and the ability to motivate, Paula facilitates fresh, exciting, innovative, and exploratory art workshops for children of all ages. In these art workshops, focus and value is on individual art expression. Children have the opportunity to use a wide variety of unusual art materials.

Calling all young artists!  Let your artist-self play and explore and create with paint and other materials.  Learn about famous artists.  Find out what they liked to paint or draw when they were young.  See paintings and artwork they did when they grew up.  Each day we'll learn
about a different artist and then experiment with some of the ways that artists created.  We'll use a variety of materials including chalk, different kinds of paint, clay, and cut paper as we explore mixing colors, making texture paintings, printmaking, and sculpturing with clay while learning about famous artists.  Materials are included in the cost of the course.

Young Sculptors

Location:  Salem Council on Aging

Thursdays, April 3-May 15, 2008, 3:30-5pm, Six Weeks

Come explore the world of sculpture and the many different materials that can be used to create a sculpture.  You'll make figures and pottery from clay, design relief sculptures, produce soap carvings, create assemblages from recycled materials, make papier mache creatures, and much, much more.  See what fun it can be to make 3-D works of art.  Bring an old T-shirt to wear.
