Young Artists by the Sea IV, Ages 6-10

Calling all young artists! Let your artist-self play and explore and create with paint and other materials in this week-long workshop by the sea. Learn about all new famous artists. Find out what they liked to paint or draw when they were young. See paintings and artwork they did when they grew up. Each day we'll learn about a different artist and then experiment with some of the ways that artist created. We'll use a variety of materials including chalk, different kinds of paint, clay, and cut paper as we explore mixing colors, making texture paintings, printmaking, and sculpturing with clay.
Create Like An Architect

“Create Like an Architect” is a hands-on art & design enrichment program . It is designed to build an awareness of the architectural changes taking place in Salem and the impact the design decisions make on the visual effect, usage of space, consideration for the environment, and integration into the community. Emphasis will be on empowering children to understand that in art and design, there is often more than one solution.
Dig It--Art in Achaeology

Can you dig it? Like Indiana Jones in the Raiders of the Lost Ark, we’ll explore the fascinating world of archaeology and some of the cool discoveries of ancient art hidden for thousands of years. We’ll learn about what archaeologists do and the kinds of ancient art they’ve discovered as we create some of our own. We’ll even leave behind a time capsule of our own for people in the future to discover. Bring in a container with a cover for the first class.
Harry Potter's Art for Muggles Grades K-5

Movie-goers have seen the latest Harry Potter movie and how the author's words were changed into imaginative visual characters and scenery. At Harry Potter's School of Art for Muggles, you'll have the chance to work some magic of your own by creating new 3-D characters, flying objects, and monsters. Have fun with your magic wand to create spells and potions. You'll have an opportunity to use a variety of art materials. If you love all things Harry Potter, Art for Muggles is for you. Bring a dish detergent bottle or tall shampoo bottle to the first class.
